Geothermal Heat Pumps
Whether you are looking for residential or commercial installations, let John Anderson Service Company install your new Geothermal Heat Pump today and Save, Save, Save! Geothermal Heat Pumps use 40% to 70% less energy than conventional systems, are environmentally friendly and require almost no maintenance. In addition, you may be eligible for as much as 30% of the entire cost of the equipment and installation in Federal Tax Credits. State Tax incentives offer up to $2,000 in additional credits. Details on these programs can be found in the links below.
How it works:
Geothermal heat pumps are similar to ordinary heat pumps, but use the ground or
a body of water instead of outside air to provide heating, air conditioning and,
in most cases, hot water. Because they use the earth’s natural heat, they
are among the most efficient and comfortable heating and cooling technologies
currently available.
A geothermal heat pump system consists of indoor heat pump equipment, a ground
loop, and a flow center to connect the indoor equipment to the outdoor loop.
The outdoor loop can be placed underground or in a pond or lake. The heat
pump equipment works like a reversible refrigerator by removing heat from one
location and depositing it in another location. The ground or pond loop,
which is invisible after installation, allows the exchange of heat between the
heat pump and the earth or pond water.
Benefits:
The most efficient fuel-burning heater can reach efficiencies around 95%, while
a geothermal heat pump can provide a practical equivalence of over 400%
efficiency. Most applications result in a reduction of 30% in heating and
cooling costs.
Geothermal heat pump equipment can be placed indoors so they are not subject to
wear and tear caused by rain, snow, ice, debris, extreme temperatures or
vandalism. Geothermal units have been proven to be very reliable and
require less maintenance.
Since there are no outside compressors and fans geothermal systems are virtually
soundless, allowing you and your neighbors to enjoy outdoor relaxation and
entertaining without the annoying drone of conventional systems.
No unsightly outdoor equipment means your landscape can flow gracefully and
uninterrupted around your home. If you love outdoor entertaining, a
geothermal heat pump is an absolute must for you!
Environmentally Friendly:
According to the Department of Energy and the EPA, geothermal systems are the
most environmentally friendly way to heat and cool your home or business.
Geothermal systems emit no carbon dioxide, carbon monoxide or other greenhouse
gasses, which are considered to be major contributors to air pollution.
